Specified Technology Inc. SSW Wrap Strips are designed to help protect against the spread of smoke and fire through penetrations in floors, walls, and ceilings. These intumescent wrap strips expand up to 24 times their original size when exposed to heat, allowing them to seal cavities and maintain firestop performance.
Available in 12 ft rolls or as pre-sized strips, they support efficient installation while minimizing material waste. When used with restraining steel, SSW Wrap Strips are capable of collapsing non-metallic pipes up to 12 inches in diameter, helping seal openings and maintain the integrity of fire-rated assemblies.
