Lockout/Tagout Devices

Lockout and Tagout Devices safeguard from the accidental release of energy during servicing and maintenance that can be hazardous to personnel and workspaces. They identify that equipment, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, or pneumatic, should not be operated, by physically isolating it. Lockout devices are designed to secure breakers, switches, plugs, and valves, in the “off” position, to prevent them from becoming accidentally energized. Tagout devices warn personnel of maintenance in process. Both measures are especially beneficial within industrial, maintenance, manufacturing, and utility environments.
